Why I'm ditching a dream

I found my old video blogs related to my DIY career pursuit and I'm finally letting go of the idea. I really did plan about this career for so long but there are lots of hindrances that went my way so I finally have given up on it-maybe I did a long time ago, but I just realized it now. I'm enjoying my life right now. Aside from the fact that I lost a lot of my time trying to get myself into the thing, I'm now building my career at Oracle. I am an Associate Consultant at Oracle and I am a happy person. I'm young and I did not regret my fantasies about building my Youtube channel. I just realized that I am enjoying the simple life and I am not the type to push myself into fame and all. Nevertheless, DIYs have been a part of me. I love doing the stuff at home when I was still a student. Before, I really had all the time for these things while today, my interest on things are slowly focusing on the other side of life. Art will always be on my side. I still collect artsy stuff but I'm not planning on uploading the old videos anyway.
Today, I am enjoying myself-buying myself stuff, eating the food I like, and taking lots of pictures. It's a really great life. I found myself realizing the bigger dreams I have.

Love,
Mikee

Change of Fashion and Life Updates

Lately, I have been looking at the fashion trends in the corporate world since in a few weeks I'll be dealing with the reality of work life. I graduated under BS Computer Science on May 29. Most people see this techy side of being a technologist but I see it as a stepping stone into crafting my dreams. I have been an art enthusiast ever since. I love looking at artworks, crafting ideas, and doing artsy things.

One of the artsy things I love looking at are fashion guides on pinterest, on blogs, and on the internet itself. I have been collecting a lot of fashion statements on pinterest which I'm going to refer on in the soon-to-be corporate me.
Here's the board I have created today:
https://www.pinterest.com/ammaica/corporate-fashion-guide/

And lately, I have been loving The Sims 4 and its expansion pack: Outdoor Retreat.
I love creating houses on Sims. It's fun for me playing around the things I wanted to do in real life but will not. If I am not a programmer, I'll probably become a designer. You see, there's a fine line between enjoying and earning; and apparently, I sided way too close to the latter.

Oh design. I love this channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/deligracy
She's witty and the houses she create are lovely. I love her Sims 4 videos and have been applying some of her techniques on my own game.

I'm currently working on my room and will update as soon as my cutesy room is finished.

What's in my 2015 Planner

I printed lots of stickers with nice quotes and brought them at school. I let my friends rummage through these colorful stuff. It's reduced to at least 2/3. It's fine. Really. Sharing is fun.

Yes, I can't go on without having lots of stickers, too. These are random colorful stickers from stores like Toys R Us, Papemelroti, etc. I place them in pages to show what I did that day/what I'm supposed to do that day.

I also placed this printable memo notes to personalize my scrapbook in my room.. Though I haven't use them yet. Maybe, I'll be vacant sometime and then, I'll be able to use them. I put them in the front side of my planner anyway.

These are paper tapes I collected to randomly decorate my planner and to also break planner pages. Really nice and handy!
I placed some page markers, memo pads, and sticky notes in the front part of my planner. These are really pretty and kinda helpful when I need to jot down random stuff.

DIY decoration/Easter Eggs

Celebrate Easter with splash of colors by making your Easter basket display.
Materials I used/recommended are:
  • Basket
  • Eggs - preferably empty ones
  • Acrylic paint
  • Paint brush / Foam brush / Dotting tools
  • Ropes/twines
  • Lace ribbons for the basket handle
  • Colored / Printed papers
  • Sticker letters / markers
  • Glue gun
  • Green yarn
  • Light green wrapping paper / Cloth papers
  • Googly eyes

Spending Valentine's Day - 2015

This is how I spent Valentine's Day.

We decided to eat at Banapple days before this date.

About these yummy stuff in this picture:
We ordered Bacon Fried Chicken Steaks with Milk'shroom gravy and Pan-fried Porkloin with Herb Mushroom gravy for our main course. Hmm.. Yummy as it sounds! Our favorite is Grandma's Corn Chowder which composes of potatoes, corn, and bacon! Yummy!! Lastly, We ordered a dark chocolate smoothie. This one's really tasty. We love it.

Ka-ching! Kinda expensive but it's fine! We enjoyed it anyway.

We mall-hopped and played at Timezone. Arcade time!

We went to one of those karaoke booths and to one of those dance booths. Yup! Sing and Dance. Valentine's be like Talent showcase. It's really fun! All of this funny and sweet moments..It's worth the time and effort for the one you dearly love :)
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Winning a giveaway, sharing what I have, and reading some books

I encourage you guys to join a lot of giveaways as well. You never know when you'll receive something nice. Anyway, as much as I love giveaways I also do love giving away that's why I joined their donation project as well.

If you're here in the Philippines and you happen to have spare art materials, don't hesitate to share them with the scholars of Tahanan ng Panginoon. Charity is something beautiful because you don't get paid for it. Also, allow yourself to de-stress by clearing your clutter and be a big blessing to other people. I encourage you to join in such forms of charity wherever you are in this world. The world needs a lot of good deeds, even small ones.

Prizes I received from The Best is Yet to Come giveaway

I am also a casual bookworm. I don't read everyday but I love reading books, especially entertaining ones. These are books I got for trading my old books at the mini-library outside the main store of Papemelroti at Roces ave, 5 minutes away from Fishermall.

My Plans this 2015

Well, I plan to visit a lot of places.. to travel a lot, experience a lot, and share a lot..
I have lots of plans..
but my ultimate plan is to save money, spend it to buy nice stuff, and share it with the ones I love. If you're familiar with the savings with increment.. I found this 52 week saving challenge.
It was from a site called http://ph.theasianparent.com

the link to this challenge is: http://ph.theasianparent.com/52-week-money-challenge-philippines/

Well, its a basic form of savings where weekly, you need to put something in your savings account. But the year is literally divided into 7 days per 1 week counted. I picked this 20-increment savings plan where.. I should put 20 pesos as a starting amount to my savings and then, put the same amount the next week plus 20 pesos additional amount. Then, this is repeatedly done until the end of the year. You will have at least 27,560 pesos by the end of the year if you strictly follow this challenge.

Sounds good, right? I challenge every one of you who are reading this right now to take this 52 week money challenge.. There are a lot of options. You can choose how much increment you want every week.. To be effective, make 5 peso increment your least savings plan.

I also plan to use my planner. Such alliteration.. What? Is it just me?

Anyway, I customized my planner and put decorative items in the front part by making 2 envelope cases. It's nice and organized. I am also inspired with the designs and the stickers/quotes I placed inside.

I was inspired by these pictures of planners from different planner users, video bloggers, and photographers. I found these from pinterest, youtube, and google.

I also plan to study well.. and give my all this last semester of college.
That's all for now..
God bless everyone.

An Ultimate Throwback Thursday

And this is me.. A very old me.. Look at that trolling face

The wedding day with that flower girl with the crying face

And the face of innocence here is very much present

And that's me, Mikee with my brother running lamely in the background

A smart-ass kid

Me with my cousins.. Those 2 kids in the center are my brothers

Apparently, I'm the one with the frizzy hair

A really "cool" family
